We also encourage you to actively use the links below. These useful resources cover most of general WordPress questions you may have:

  • Wordpress FAQ - Information and resources about WordPress including history, features, semantics, glossary, and information to help you determine whether or not WordPress is the blogging tool for you.

  • PHP Function References - Detailed information on WordPress PHP functions and usage examples

1.5 Theme Requirements

We have tested our theme in most standard hosting setups. Anyhow, make sure your hosting server matches the following requirements.

  1. Latest version of WordPress 4.9.1 or higher installed,
  2. PHP5 or higher and MySQL 5 or higher,
  3. We recommend to enable mod_rewrite module (If not enabled sometimes pages or posts will result in bad gateway error),
  4. Memory limit(memory_limit) should be atleast 128MB.
  5. Maxium File Upload size(upload_max_filesize) should be atleast 32MB.
  6. max_execution_time equal to 180
  7. max_input_vars equal to 5000
  8. post_max_size equal to 32MB

Hosting is more secure when PHP applications, like WordPress, are running using your account’s username instead of the server’s default shared username (www or www-data). The most common way for hosting companies to do this is using PHP. Just ask your potential host if they run PHP or something similar.

Recommended PHP Configuration Limits

Many issues that you may run into such as: white screen, demo content fails when importing, empty page content and other similar issues are all related to low PHP configuration limits. The solution is to increase the PHP limits. You can do this on your own, or contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

  • Max_execution_time 180
  • Memory_limit 128 MB
  • Post_max_size 32 MB
  • Upload_max_filesize 32 MB

1.6What's Included

When you purchase our theme from ThemeForest, you need to download the Fitness Zone files from your ThemeForest account. Navigate to your downloads tab on ThemeForest and find Fitness Zone . 2. Are you sure you want to do this? – ERROR

While uploading the theme via WordPress, if the upload is unsuccessful with the error message 'Are you sure you want to do this? 7Buddha Options Panel

Fitness Zone has an advanced Buddha Theme Options panel that is loaded with lot of options. We have the options organized into logical tabbed sections, and each option has a description of what it will do on the front end. Because of the sizable amount of options Fitness Zone provides, we cannot go over them in full detail here in our documentation.

We encourage you to please take some time and navigate through each tab to see what we offer. Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Fitness Zone Options> Budhha Theme Panel in your WordPress admin to access the Buddha Theme Options panel. You can also backup your theme options by clicking on the Backup tab. That is a great way to move your custom options from site to site. See below for screenshots and short descriptions of our Buddha Theme Options panel.

7.1 General Options

In this section you can set up some general options for your site. Please check below options available in this section,

  • Logo - Upload logo that fit the best for your homepage layout
  • Retina Logo - Upload logo that fit the best for your homepage layout (retina logo must be 2x larger than regular homepage logo)
  • Favicon - upload your custom favicon image in .ico format

To set up logos, navigate to Appearance > Fitness Zone Options> General > Logo to upload Custom, Retina & Sticky Header logos. You can also set up additional logo options. Note: Retina Logo should be always 2x larger than Custom Logo (this field is optional).

Our Logo Size is 156 X 73 px and the Retina Logo Size is 312 X 146 px

Retina Ready

Fitness Zone is Retina Ready so the theme will look fantastic on High Resolution displays like the iPad or iPhone Retina devices. The most important thing to understand is that there are two different sets of images/graphics that can be Retina Ready. Please read below and watch our video tutorial to help understand how this process works.

To optimize your logo for retina-display devices, you'll need to follow the 3 steps below.

1. Recreate your logo image, but this time with much bigger dimensions (we recommend an image that is at least TWICE the size of the display size). For example, if your current logo in the Seasons theme is 200 x 150px, then you'll want to create a version of your logo that has dimensions of 400 x 300px, or bigger.

2. Now upload this new, bigger image. Go to Appearance > Fitness Zone Options > Buddha Panel > Genearl > Logo image to upload the new image. (If you look at your site after following this step, you'll notice that your logo will appear very large. Don't worry! We'll fix that in the next step.)

3. Now all you have to do is edit our theme code to change the way your large logo is displayed.

Social icons

Fitness Zone Theme includes a large set of social icons that can be used all throughout the theme. These social icons are a custom font icon, so it will always be super crisp and will not require any images. Using a font icon also allows us to have advanced color options. Social Icons can be used in several different areas and have multiple customization options. The following sections below will cover each of these areas and options to give you a clear understanding of our social icon integration in the Fitness Zone theme.

To set up social icons, right top corner, navigate Appearance > Fitness Zone Options > General > Sociable and set up links for social profiles. Note: Each external link should always start with http://

Social Media Links – The Social Media tab in Theme Options is where you will insert your custom social media links for each network you want to display. The URL's you enter on this tab will apply to the social icons in the header, footer or social sharing box.

Easy to Extend. A child theme has a great flexibility. It does not require writing a lot of code. You can modify only those template files and functions that you need.

Note : When you install one of our themes you must upload both parent and child theme folders to wp-content / themes but you should only activate the Child theme via Dashboard -> Dashboard -> Themes.

Modifying files from the Parent theme folder

While you should never edit files in your Parent theme, if you really must, the safest way to do it is to download a copy of the file you want to modify on your computer, make the changes, and then upload it into your child theme folder.

Note : This way of modifying the files can be used for any files from the parent theme — note that you must re-create the same folder structure in your child theme that exist in the parent theme in order for the modifications to take effect.

14.2 Demo Content Fails: Seems Like An Error Has Occurred

If you attempted to import the Fitness Zone theme sample demo data, but it never completes the installation process or it fails with errors, there could be several reasons. Please read the following information.

Likely Causes For Demo Import Failing

  • Your PHP memory, file upload size, and/or execution limits are set too low
  • Your web host uses process watching software that prevents bulk processing on their web servers.
  • You have define('WP_DEBUG', true), please change that to define('WP_DEBUG', true) for the import in your wp-config.php file
  • The import uses a JSON file which is loaded from the frontend of the website, this will not work when the domain is not connected to the WordPress installation.

Recommended PHP Configuration Limits

If the import stalls and fails to respond after a few minutes, or it fails with a simple error message like "Import failed," You are suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

  • max_execution_time 180
  • memory_limit 128M
  • post_max_size 32M
  • upload_max_filesize 32M

How To Verify Your Current PHP Limits

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin here. In addition, you can always contact your host and ask them what the current settings are and have them adjust them if needed. Please note though that many hosts will try to keep the PHP limits low without reason. However you are paying for it, and therefor should be getting your moneys worth.

Method 1 – Import the Forms With The Full Demo Import

When you import one of our demos through the Fitness Zone > Install Demos section, the Contact Form 7 forms can also be included. To ensure they are included, you need to install and activate Contact Form 7 plugin before you import the demos. As long as that is activated before you import, the forms will also import.

Method 2 – Import Individual Forms

If you are not able to import the entire demo and only need an individual form, you can copy the desired form data below, then paste it into a new form field using Contact Form 7.

Step 1 – Install and activate the free Contact Form 7 plugin. You will then see a "Contact" item in your admin sidebar.

Step 2 – Click on the "Contact" sidebar item and select "Add New". Give your form a name. This name will be used in the short code that has to be inserted on the page you use it on.

14.6 Grandfathered Support

Envato started a paid initiative for item support on September 1st, 2015. Any item purchased includes 6 months of support with paid options to extend. This new policy applies to all purchases, past or present. DesignTheme  is fully committed to our customers and took the initiative to introduce Grandfathered support for any purchases made before September 1st, 2015. Purchases made before September 1st, 2015 are eligible for our Grandfathered support policy. Purchases made after September 1st, 2015 must follow the new paid support initiative introduced by Envato. It is important to note that paid support is an Envato initiative, while Grandfathered Support, with the agreement of Envato, is an initiative that we created.

What Is Grandfathered Support?

Grandfathered Support is simply a term we are using for purchases made before September 1st, 2015. The level of support given is the same as we have always provided. Grandfathered Support applies to any customer that purchased DT Themes BEFORE September 1, 2015. This entitles qualifying customers to continue receiving hands on support via our system for as long as we continue to develop and maintain DT Themes.

IMPORTANT NOTE – Grandfathered support is only valid on sites that are using a license purchased before September 1, 2015.

How To Verify Your Purchase Date

To know if you're qualified for Grandfathered Support, you must first verify your purchase date. Please see below for instructions on how to view the exact purchase date of your DT Themes Theme license.

Step 1 – Login to your ThemeForest account and go to the Downloads tab.

Step 2 – Locate the DT Themes theme copy you'd like to verify, then download the License Certificate and Purchase Code file. You can choose to download either the .PDF or the .TXT file.

Step 3 – Inside the License Certificate and Purchase Code file, you'll find your Purchase Date information for that particular copy of  DT Themes.

14.7 How To Update The Premium Plugins

Please note that DT Themes does include updates for our Premium Sliders (Revolution Slider and Layer Slider), however, this does not mean that you will receive an individual license for these Premium Sliders.
Due to Envato's licensing rules, we can only issue updates for these plugins when we issue a theme update. Please continue reading below for further information on the process of how these updates are given.

Premium Sliders Update Process

When you purchase a theme that bundles Revolution Slider and Layer Slider, such as DT Themes, you get to use these Premium Sliders with the theme. However, your purchase of DT Themes does not give you an individual license for the Revolution Slider and Layer Slider to use or download as you wish.

Due to license rules, we can only issue new plugin updates when we issue new theme updates. So anytime DT Themes is updated, the latest plugin for the Revolution Slider and Layer Slider will be included. This is according to the licensing rules enforced by Envato, and is something out of our control and must abide by.

In addition, this also ensures that we fully test the plugin to make sure there are no critical bugs that will conflict with our own update. This is a benefit that we also test any version we give with our theme before our customers get it.
